The Power of Collaboration

There's a beautiful African proverb that says—

'If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.'

Collaboration is a fruitful and challenging entity. I say ‘entity’ because what emerges when two muses mingle to make art, doesn't come from compromise or halfway point—but from a third place of revelation to both!

We all know, collaboration doesn't always work. We each bring a set of strengths and blindspots. We each provide irritation and inspiration. Only when there’s S P A C E for both to contribute their unique set of skills and style in fullness, do we give rise to the goldilocks quantum: 

~ just the right amount of grist for each other’s pearl making ~.
